We, the readers, are extensions of the poem; ultimately, that is the only factor that makes aesthetic work atelic. It's up to us to continue its performance, so that life itself might be composed a bit more poetically. To paraphrase Stein, politics begins only in our beginning again the work our poets have already begun.
